Inspired by the majestic, slow-growing pines surrounding Sweden’s breathtaking Lake Siljan, Summer Dala is named after one of the country’s national symbols, Dalecarlian Horses. Central to Swedish folklore, they are brightly painted, wooden statues, made using timber from these unique trees and reflect the important role horses historically played in everyday society.
Hand-carved, to a high-degree of craftsmanship, the special sculptures evoke enduring strength, grace, refinement and beauty. These qualities, which are also true of Neolith®’s surfaces, have been perfectly captured within the Summer Dala design. READ MORE
Possessing a distinct and original look, Neolith® has achieved the essence of this pine’s unique texture, using the latest decoration technology to create surfaces with a touch similar to unvarnished wood.
Dala is produced in two tones, Summer and Winter, one representing a profile of freshly cut timber, the other a weathered look calling to mind the dramatic, windswept coast of the North Sea.
The introduction of the Dala patterns further highlight’s Neolith’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practice and preserving our natural woodland and rainforests.
Similar to other timber-inspired designs in the range, Summer and Winter Dala faithfully recreate cross sections of real trees, without the need to fell them, delivering a positive environmental impact.
